The fight against obesity took nine months. The incentive not to give up was a phrase that her child accidentally said once.

– I was always slim, my weight was 50-52 kg at a height of 165 cm, but the birth of three children could not but affect my figure. After the twins, scales indicator began showing 18 kg more – and my weight reached the level of 72 kg.

My whole life was built around my family – little daughters and the eldest son. I ate everything I wanted, without limiting myself in anything. I could not imagine my life without hot dogs! Once in the fitting room, my son said: “Mom you are so beautiful, thin. But once you take off the sweater, you are so fat!”

These words sounded like a thunderbolt from a clear sky! Who else will tell the truth, if not your children? From that very moment, I decided to pull myself together and lose weight.


In the first place, I started changing my nutrition. I visited my friend, who is a certified dietician, and she developed a special weight loss program for me. First, I cut off:

  • sauces,
  • sweets,
  • floury foods.

I was allowed to eat only:

  • beef,
  • chicken breast,
  • fruits,
  • vegetables.

As for complex carbohydrates, I consume only buckwheat, and only at lunch time or after a training in the gym. I drink 2.5 liters of water a day.

In the morning 10-15 minutes before the meal, I drink one or two glasses of water. Sweet foods that I am allowed to eat are low-fat cottage cheese or honey, but only once a week. I have a snack every 2 hours, and the last meal – 4 hours before bedtime. At that, the last meal of the da contains only protein or vegetables.

The most difficult thing for me was to endure the first month – I thought I will go crazy. My arms were reaching out for my favorite hotdogs. To avoid caving in, I often drink water and try not to allow hunger get strong, and constantly snack.

By the way, in the first month, the nutritionist allowed me to have one hotdog without the bun and sauce at lunch. Gradually, my sick gastronomic passion passed. If I have a wienie now, I can taste only the huge amount of salt and don’t have even a sign of pleasure I used to have while eating these.



As the first month passed, my weight began to lower. I was losing 1-1.5 kg a week, and then I felt an incredible incentive and adrenaline to keep losing weight further. At first, I set the goal of weighing less than 60 kg, reached the level of 58… and did not want to stop.

Now, my weight is 47 kg! In nine months of my weight loss campaign, I completely got out of the habit to consume mayonnaise, bread, sweets and sausages. I’m very pretentious about food and I think: “Goodness, it is so delicious to eat properly!”

Of course, I would not have achieved this result if it were not for gym trainings. I exercise with a trainer in accordance with an individual program:

  • two days a week I do weight trainings
  • three times a week -cardio exercises and

As a result, I visit the fitness center almost every day. But, as my nutritionist told me, 70% of a successful weight loss depends on food. Surprisingly, my beloved husband began losing weight with me! To make it easier for me, he switched to proper nutrition and also lost 30 kg – from 110 to 81 kg! 

He was very supportive of me on my weight loss journey. I always consulted with him – whether I should consult with a dietician, start exercising, and his answer was always “Yes!” He always says that he loves me the way I am, and I really want to become even better for him and smile at my reflection in the mirror.

Of course, I continue cooking ordinary food for children and treat them to some sweets, but I never cave in! I remember how difficult it was for me during the Christmas feast, when I only started my slimming plan.

The table was full of yummies and delicacies, children asked me to peel them an orange, and I was not allowed to have these then. Even though I love them… I did not cave in! The next morning, I was so proud of myself that I did not cave in, and after this experience I decided for sure that I will get slender, now and for the rest of my life!

Approximate menu for the day:

First breakfast at 08:00 – 8:30 – 2 glasses of water before the meal and oat flakes cooked on water.

Second breakfast at 10:30 – 11:00 – tea with low-fat cottage cheese or an apple.

Lunch at 12:30 – 13:00 – chicken breast with vegetables or buckwheat with fish (only boiled or steamed).

Snack at 14:30 – green tea and honey with walnuts.

Snack at 16:30 – 17:00 – breast with vegetables (fresh or steamed).

Dinner at 19:00 – green tea and low-fat cottage cheese.


We asked an experienced nutritionist about such method and present you the answer we got.

– I am worried by a weight loss of down to 47 kg. Her BMI is now 17.26. With such severe restrictions, such weight reduction can lead to anorexia, one of the symptoms of which is now the fear of eating. It is very important to stop the weight loss process and expand the list of allowed products.

The amount of fruit is very limited. It is unclear whether she consumes vegetable oil or nuts every day to get essential omega-3 fatty acids. Of course, these foods should be included in the daily diet. It is remarkable that she formed important healthy habits:

  • regular meals,
  • sufficient water intake,
  • minimal consumption of simple carbohydrates and saturated fats.

If her menu is diverse at the same time and she is not obsessed over food and low weight, I can congratulate her with such a wonderful result! And wish her to expand her diet with fruits, cereals and vegetable fats, and gradually replace strict restrictions into caring for herself and love for her body.
